Work, gym and more

December 4th, 2006 · 2 Comments

First, I appreciate everyones comments. You guys have tried to stay on top of shit and keep me in line, and you’ve all done a great job. Unfortunately, I honestly can’t say that I have done a great job as well, especially the last couple of weeks. I have lost my focus, and kind of steered into not-so-great-land.

That being said, I know what I have to do to get back on track.

As far as my work is concerned I would really like to make a few things clear. First, I am not saying that because in December we usually have to work longer hours/days/week I am unable to go to the gym. It does make it harder, but if I wanted to wake up at 5am, I could. I choose not to wake up at 5 am, knowing that having to work longer hours I would rather be more rested.

I really don’t mind working longer during December and helping just like everyone else. The rest of the year I have a fairly flexible schedule. I would never say that work is stopping me from getting exercise, because it never could. In fact, I usually do my some of my cardio during lunch when I walk 3/4 mile to and from lunch. So, saying that the gym is not really possible, doesn’t mean that I am not getting any exercise.

The reason I quit the gym in the first place was not because of work at all. It’s too much $, for a crappy place. The equipment is fairly shitty, and having to wait for it is not fun either. So, that’s why I started walking outside, instead of inside.
