Total Cals: ~2000
Cardio: 30 mins

Che, to answer your question.. I do split my cal intake into 4-6 meals/snacks. I think the problem is that I am just not taking in enough cals. Remember, last time I had my BMR checked it was around 3200. This was 2 years ago, and I was heavier so it’s probably a bit lower now. So if its around 3k, and I’m only eating 2k and doing cardio on top of that I am prob depleting too many cals which is just bad.

I believe that nutritionists usually recommend not going over 400-500 cal depletion per day.

Just things to think about.

Anyone watch Lost last night?

I watched Lost. Filler episode really. Excited for next week.

The last 8-10 minutes were good, but the rest was pretty much filler. Although the flashbacks are always interesting.

Pop quiz… how many calories in a lb of fat? I’m curious if a deficit of 3500 calories = 1lb… In other words, are the same people telling you to only have a deficit of 400-500 calories the same ones telling you to lose 1-2 lbs of fat a week? :)

They are saying 1-2 lbs per week. Probably won’t all be fat, which is why working out is a huge benefit to keeping muscle. I’ve been told and read many times that lowering the cal intake by too much will cause your body to try to hold on to fat. Which is why I believe it’s recommended to just cut around 500 per day.
